South Downs Dew Ponds Project

The idea of documenting all the dew ponds on the south downs has been an idea rattling around in the back of my head for a few years now.  The inspiration for this came along whilst photographing for my project titled ‘Spirit of the Downs’ where I photographed some dew ponds on my many walks.  There is something quite magical about dew ponds, they portray a natural existence but are totally man made features of the landscape.  For this reason I can’t help but be drawn to them and here is the first of many more to come….
